Ashley - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 30, 1986 Services for Orland V. Ashley, 77, were at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Crothers Funeral Home chapel in Tallulah with the Rev. O. B. Robertson officiating. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Mize, Miss., under direction of Crothers. Mr. Ashley died Sunday in Tallulah after a boating accident. He was a native of Mize, Miss., a resident of Madison Parish for the past 59 years and was a retired carpenter. He was also a Baptist. Survivors include three sons, Orland L. Ashley of Mandeville, Allen L. Ashley of Vicksburg, Miss., and Roy L. Ashley of Dallas; one brother, Jack L. Ashley of Donaldsonville; two sisters, Hazel Whitman of San Francisco, Calif., and Mary Pepper of Wesson, Mo.; five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Brian Ashley, Garrod Ashley, Allen Ashley, and Roy Ashley.
