Ashley - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 31, 1972 B. W. Ashley interred here Funeral services for Benjamin W. Ashley, 80, of Tallulah, were at Crothers Funeral Home here at 2 p. m Friday with the Rev. J. L. Neuschwanger officiating. Burial followed in Providence Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Ashley died at the Madison Parish Hospital early Thursday after a brief illness. He was a native of Mize, Miss. had been a resident of Madison Parish 36 years, was a retired farmer and a member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ida Ashley: one son. Buford Ashley of Meadville, Miss.: four daughters; Mrs. Bilbo Sullivan, Mrs. Lloyd Rogan, Mrs. J. W. Ellis and Mrs. James Hetland, all of Tallulah: two sisters; Mrs. Pearl Craft of Raleigh. Miss., and Mrs. Annie McCaltin of Mize, Miss., 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Clyde Lee, Clinton Givens, Gene Cox, Earl Taylor, Horace Russell and Winfred Parker.
