Funeral services for Benjamin W. Ashley, 80, of Tallulah, were at Crothers Funeral Home here at 2 p. m 
Friday with the Rev. J. L. Neuschwanger officiating. Burial followed in Providence Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Ashley died at the Madison Parish Hospital early Thursday after a brief illness. He was a native 
of Mize, Miss. had been a resident of Madison Parish 36 years, was a retired farmer and a member of 
Willow Bayou Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ida Ashley: one son. Buford Ashley of Meadville, Miss.: four daughters; 
Mrs. Bilbo Sullivan, Mrs. Lloyd Rogan, Mrs. J. W. Ellis and Mrs. James Hetland, all of Tallulah: two 
sisters; Mrs. Pearl Craft of Raleigh. Miss., and Mrs. Annie McCaltin of Mize, Miss., 19 grandchildren 
and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Clyde Lee, Clinton Givens, Gene Cox, Earl Taylor, Horace Russell and Winfred Parker.
