All rights reserved. ******************************************************************************************** Charles Gary Arneson - Madison Parish, Louisiana September 5, 1940 - April 18, 2017 From Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home April 21, 2017 Charles Gary Arneson was born at the Mercy Hospital in Vicksburg, Mississippi on September 5, 1945. He was the son of Charles Obert Arneson and Doris Effie Arneson. He is survived by his two daughters, Leigh Marie Arneson and Traci Clare Arneson and his brother, Robert L. Arneson. He was 76 years of age at the time of his death on April 18, 2017 at 5:30 A.M. Charles Gary Arneson attended Tallulah Elementary and Tallulah High School where he graduated in 1958. He went to Northeast State Louisiana University (ULM) in Monroe, Louisiana and was majoring in Agronomy. He then joined the Navy and was stationed at Adzuki AB, Japan as a jet engine test cell mechanic. After this, he returned home to pursue a career in aviation and then went to American Flyers in Ardmore, Oklahoma for flight school. After graduating from American Flyers, he became employed by Sowell Aviation in Panama City, Florida. In the mid 1960's he taught flight instruction, ground school, and performed charter flying service for Don Sowell. At Sowell Aviation is where he attained his ATR aviation rating (today is called ATP). He then returned to Tallulah in the early 1970's to farm with his father and this is where he met and married Linda Everett in 1978. He was joined in the farm partnership by his brother, Robert L. Arneson in 1978 after he returned home from the United States Navy. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Tallulah, Louisiana and visitation will be Friday, April 21, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah.
