All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Benny Almond - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 16, 1988 Funeral services for Mr. Benny Almond, 49, were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kent Fabre officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Almond died Sunday morning in the Madison Parish Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Campti and a resident of Madison Parish of the past 10 years. Mr. Almond was a welder and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Verlene Almond of Tallulah; two sons, Benny Almond Jr. and John Almond, both of Mount Holly, Ark.; one daughter, Elizabeth Taylor of Ft. Worth, Tex.; two stepsons, James Greer of St. Francisville and Craig Greer of Tallulah; one brother, Charles Almond of Tallulah; three sisters, Mary Ezell of Tallulah, Bernice Prine of Transylvania and Maudie Alexander of Mt. Holly, Ark.; seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Armon Cox, Tommy Bedgood, Johnny Hutson, Elton Fortenberry, Dalton Fortenberry and James McDonald.
