All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Robert Van Allen - Madison Parish, Louisiana From The Tallulah Madison Journal (LA), Saturday, December 16, 1916 Mr. Robert Van Allen died suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. D. Sevier at Islington Plantation in this parish. Mr. Allen though past 80 years of age has been in good health and his sudden death was a shock to his friends and relatives. Mr. Allen was a native of Georgia, having been born in Macon 80 years ago. He served in the Confederate Army. He moved to Georgia to Mississippi to which later his remains were conveyed for burial last night.
