H. Allen Held Tuesday Prominent Resident, Mayor For 20 Years And Tax Assessor 12 Years Funeral services for Daniel Hall Allen, 75, former mayor of Tallulah and tax assessor of Madison Parish who died at his home at 11:15 p. m. Sunday was held Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. William F. Mayo officiating. Interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. He was mayor of Tallulah for 20 years and tax assessor 12 years, but spent the last years of his life in retirement. Ile died following a long illness. A native of Kosciusko, Miss., he had lived in Tallulah for 59 years. He was a member of the local Masonic Lodge and the First Methodist Church. He was also a Royal Arch Mason. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Virginia White Allen, Tallulah; one son, Dr. Dean H. Allen, Tallulah; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Atkinson, Brookhaven, Miss., and Mrs. Maggie Sevier, Gulfport, Miss., and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Rufus T. Yerger, R. W. Gandy, Jr., Don Sevier, Jim Gilfoil, H. C. Sevier, Jr., M. A. Wroten, E. H. Fisher and A. N. Duke. Honorary pallbearers were Capt. F. W. Schatz, R. N. Ware, Jr., Henry Sevier, Sr., T. A. Cagnolatti, Dr. W. P. Park, Dr. George M. Webb, L. J. Kathan, D. C. Johnson, Sheriff E. D. Coleman, Rod Naylor, Dr. Jack Atkinson, Dr. Robert Atkinson, George S. Yerger, Jr., Maxwell Yerger, W. P.
