All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Charlie Allen - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 8, 2003 Funeral services for Mr. Charlie Allen, age 88, of Tallulah, will be held at 2:00p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2003 in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. James C. Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at the funeral home. Mr. Allen died Sunday, January 5, 2003 in the Olive Branch Senior Care Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Vernon, Louisiana and lived in Madison Parish for most of his life. He was retired from the Louisiana State Department of Transportation. He was a member of Melborne Baptist Church and of the American Legion Post in Tallulah. Survivors include a brother, Jim Allen of Eudora, Arkansas and a step-daughter, Nell Mills of Smyrna, Tennessee, a number of nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren and a long time special friend and caretaker, Margaret Williamson of Tallulah, Louisiana. Pallbearers will be Charles William Wells, Jimmy Wood, Steve Wood, Ernest L. Allen, C. L. Allen, W. B. Allen and Melvin T. Allen. Special thanks to Dr. L. P.
