Alexander Funeral Scheduled Thursday In Tallulah TALLULAH, La., June 30 -- Jay Harvey Alexander, prominent Madison Parish planter, died last night at his home. Born on July 4, 1878 at Shannadoan, Iowa, Mr. Alexander spent the early years of his life in Pottawattamie County in Iowa, coming to Madison Parish in 1910. He was a Mason and a Methodist. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Tallulah, with the Rev. John Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will be in the Silver Cross Cemetery, by Thomas funeral home of Tallulah. Masonic services will be held at the cemetery. Pallbearers are: J. R. Linton, Bill Powell, A F. Graves, J. C. Byram, W. H. Harvey, Whit Erwin, with alternate J. E. Furr. Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula M. Alexander; three sons, Dr Leonard J. Alexander of Wooster, Ohio; Richard P. Alexander of Tallulah and Donald H. Alexander of Wharton, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie A. Grupe of Lynwood, California and Miss Frances Alexander of Tallulah.
