Del was born in Epps, Louisiana, on November 17, 1939, to Minnie Lee Sistrunk and Lloyd Cordell Ainsworth. He had two children, Cindy Ainsworth, deceased, and Rickey Ainsworth of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In his younger years, Del owned a food service business. Later, he purchased the Sonic Drive-In in Tallulah, Louisiana, which he operated for over 27 years. Del was a devoted member of his First Baptist Church of Tallulah. Above all, Del was devoted to his wife, Dorothy, and his extended family. He loved going to and watching family sporting events. He was their biggest fan, and I know they will miss seeing him in the stands, rooting them on. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dorothy Marsh Ainsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and D.
