Agee - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 6, 1950 Funeral Services for Mr. J. S. Agee Held Here Thursday Mr. Joseph S. Agee, 84-year-old Madison Parish resident, died Wednesday morning at approximately 6 o'clock at his residence, 308 N. Mulberry street, Tallulah, after an extended illness. Prior to his illness Mr. Agee was connected with the Delta Drug Co. for several years, and before that time was with the P. P. Williams Wholesale Co. He was one of the oldest Madison Parish residents, having resided here the past 58 years. He was a member of the Tallulah Presbyterian Church. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence, with the Rev. Earl Wiggins, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial followed under the direction of the Crothers Funeral Home in the Silver Cross cemetery. Besides his wife, Mrs. Annie b Agee, he is survived by one brother, C. C. Agee, Helena Ark.; one grandson, Willard Agee, and a number of nieces and nephews. Pall bearers were Gus Williamson, Perry Folk, Don Sevier, John Sevier, Tom Bradley, Neil Holt. Honorary pall hearers were Nolan Harvey, H. C. Sevier, W. H. Hewes, and Lucian Farr.
