E. Adams, Thursday Funeral services were held for Mrs. A. E. Adams on Thursday morning at 10 A. M. from Crothers Funeral Home, Tallulah, with internment following in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Adams death occurred on Wednesday morning in Mercy Hospital where she had been taken last week after suffering a fall at her home and a broken hip. She recovered from surgery, and was improving, but suddenly took a turn for the worst early Wednesday. Mrs. Adams would have been 90 years old in January, 1967. She was born in Delhi. La. and moved with her family to Tallulah when ten years of age. She was the daughter of Judge and Mrs. Edward Calvin Montgomery, before her marriage was Miss Caroline Montgomery. She was known to a large number of friends, as Miss Callie, and was beloved for her gentle nature and always the southern lady. To her family she was always devoted. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. A. H. Willett, Mrs. Henry C. Sevier and Miss Addison Brooks, two sons, Mr. Will Adams and Judge Clifford Calvin Adams, One sister, Mrs. Olivier Montgomery Higgins of Eudora, Ark. and Mr. Edward Montgomery of Shreveport, La. and nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and funeral services both at the Funeral Home and graveside will be conducted by the Rev. Lyndon Brown of Tallulah Presbyterian Church. Pallbearers will be, Mr. Adrian Willett, Mr. Guss Willett, Mr. Rufus Yerger, Mr. Robert Wyly Gandy Jr., Mr. Carroll Regan, Mr. John Weimar, Mr. Edward M. Adams, William Robert Adams.
