All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Ed Adams - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star January 30, 1935 TALLULAH, La., Jan. 30. - (Special) - Funeral services for Ed Adams, 25-year-old son of A. E. Adams, one of the leading business men of Tallulah, who died early Monday morning at the result of an automobile wreck near Lake Providence late Sunday night, were held from the family home Tuesday morning with the Rev. H. N. Alexander, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Young Adams was returning from a visit to his aunt, Mrs. John Higgins, in Readland, Ark., when the car in which he was driving crashed into a parked car without lights. Interment was in Silver Cross cemetery here and the services were attended by an unusually large number from Tallulah, west Mississippi and Shreveport. Mr. Adams is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pauline McDonald Adams, a young son, his parents, two brothers, Will and Cliff Adams, two sisters, Miss Addison Brooks and Mrs. Henry Sevier, all of Tallulah, and a sister, Mrs. Gus Willett, of Alexandria. From Madison Journal February 2, 1935 AUTO ACCIDENT PROVES FATAL TO LOCAL MAN Ed Adams Dies At Vicksburg Sanatorium Following A crash At Lake Providence Funeral services for Ed Adams who was killed in an automobile accident last Sunday night were held from the home of his father, A. E. Adams, local business man, on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. H. N. Alexander, Presbyterian minister, officiating. Interment was in Silver Cross cemetery. At the time of the accident Ed was returning from a visit to relatives in Readland, Arkansas, having left here Sunday afternoon. He left Lake Providence around 9:30 p. in. and, according to witnesses, was killed when his car crashed into a parked car several miles south of Lake Providence. A passing motorist picked him up and carried him to Lake Providence for identification and he was then rushed to Vicksburg in a local ambulance. He died early Monday morning. Adams is survived by his wife and Young son, his parents, two brothers, Will and Cliff Adams, of Tallulah, and three sisters, Mrs. Gus Willett, of Alexandria, Mrs. Henry Sevier and Miss Addison Brooks, of Tallulah. The sadness of the sudden death Sunday night of one of the most beloved of our young men Ed Adams, Jr., has been decidedly felt by a very large group of close friends, who, with the bereaved family, are greatly grieved by his passing. Ed's songs, which were always entertaining, together with his likeable personality, will be remembered and missed. Relatives and friends called here by Mr. Adams' death were Mr and Mr Jno.
