Barbara Womack Obituary A native and resident of Baton Rouge, she passed from this earth at 3:20 a.m., Friday, June 6, 2008, after a long battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 8, 1955, and is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherrill W. Lane and Tom Lane, Anne W. Carville and Steve Carville, and her brother and sister-in-law, Milton J. Womack Jr. and Ellen Womack. She was a very devoted aunt to nieces and nephews, Camille Palmer, Caroline Lane, Malcolm Lane, Archer Lane, Stephen Carville Jr., Claire Carville, Joseph Carville, Nicholas Carville, Riley Womack, Hannah Womack, Ashlyn Womack and Mary Katherine Womack. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Sevier Womack; and her father, Milton J. Womack Sr. Barbara cared deeply for others and was a generous benefactor to many organizations, including the Baton Rouge General Foundation, Catholic High School, St. Joseph's Academy, LSU Alumni Association, The Pennington Biomedical Research Foundation and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. Visiting will be held on Monday, June 9, at 4 p.m. with a memorial service at 5 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3552 Morning Glory Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, 4950 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
