All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Dan Donald - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 11, 1979 The funeral of Mr. Dan Donald, 66 Jennings, La., was held Thursday, at the First United Methodist of Jennings, with the Revs. Pyles, Robert Crichlow, and F. Mayo officiating. Mr. Donald died Jan. 3 at the Jennings American Legion Hospital after lengthy illness. He had been a resident of Jennings since 1939 when he became an active in Donald Chevrolet and Cadillac Co. He was a former city Councilman and had served two times on the Louisiana State Board of Commerce and Industry. He was a member of the executive board of Methodist Church during his entire Jennings residency. He was one of the organizers, and served on the board of directors of the Jeff Davis Bank and Trust Co., in Jennings, since its inception. Survivors include his wife, the former Laura Sevier from Tallulah; one daughter, Mrs. Donald Walter of Shreveport; two sons, Dan L. Donald, Jr., and David Brooks Donald, bcth of Jennings; one brother, W. B. Donald Jr. of Jennings; and 10 grandchildren. The family has requested that memorials be directed to the Building Fund of the First United Methodist Church, or to charities of the donor's choice.
