From unknown (probably Natchez) newspaper Carrie DuBard Sevier After an illness of only two days businesses Mrs. H. C. Sevier of Ferriday, died at the Natchez sanatorium yesterday. The sad news of the death of this splendid woman will come as a shock to many throughout this section of Mississippi and Louisiana, for Mrs. Sevier was widely known and esteemed for her noble attributes. Mrs. Sevier was a devout member of the Methodist Church and in her everyday life manifested the highest ideals of Christianity. The deceased was a native of Mississippi, having been born in Sallis Station, April 5, 1866, but had lived in Ferriday for many years, having seen this flourishing town grow from is foundations up to the present time. Mrs. Sevier was the owner of the Sevier Hotel at Ferriday. Besides her husband H. C. Sevier and son, Victor of Ferriday, she is survived by three brothers, F. S., W. P. and C. DuBard. The funeral will be held at 2:30 PM today from Fosters Parlors, the services being conducted by Rev. P. Carraway of Sicily Island. The following will act as pallbearers: Morris Meltz, B. C. Brown, Charles Stingley, C. H. Corbett, I. Litoff and Sam Leibovitz.
