Remote Assistance

The Windows Operating Systems provide a Remote Assistance feature which is used when a Windows user request help from a trusted friend who is also using the Windows Operating System. This feature allows the trusted friend to remotely view and control the requester's computer and thereby provide assistance.

The following procedures are provided to help in the setup of the Remote Assistance feature. The procedure selected will depend on the versions of the Windows Operating System used by the person requesting help. The procedures are provided in PDF formatted files in order to make them easy to download and view/print.

  Procedures:

Windows 7          For Windows 7 users

Windows XP        For Windows XP users.

Windows 8            For Windows 8 users
