The Alexandria Genealogical Library is located
at 503 Washington Street, Alexandria, Louisiana.
Both the site and the architecture of the
Library have been listed on the National
Register of Historic Places.
The Library is administered by two part time
paid members and staffed by volunteers.
All
genealogical holdings are either donated
or purchased with private funds.
Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday,
10 a.m. until 4 p.m. During Daylight
Savings
Time Thursday hours are from 10:00
a.m. until
7 p.m. and its use is free to the public.
There are approximately 7,000 books in the

Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library

Baton Rouge, LA
An extensive collection of books, periodicals,
and microfilm on local, state, and regional
family history that is located at the Bluebonnet
Regional Branch Library. Also located at
the Bluebonnet Regional Branch is a large
genealogical collection owned by the Daughters
of the American Revolution.
Note: Very nice collection of genealogical
books, Microfilms, CDs, Microfilm readers,
printers.
