My gggrandfather was Benjamin Godwyn(Godwin) STEELE, known as B.G. and mostly
Goodin STEELE. He was from Fairfield, SC. His sister was Phoebe Bell STEELE CROSS wife of John Presberry CROSS.  John and Phoebe went to Concordia appr.1849.  I know in 1867 B.G.STEELE was down there visiting then he returned to SC. He's on the 1880 census in Fairfield SC along with William A. FERRELL. By 1885 William A. FERRELL was m/to Julia BROUSSARD in Concordia. Family rumor has always been that B.G. Other family names were SCOTT, ENLOW, GLASSCOCK, and CANE.  Any help would be so greatly appreciated.
