Wm. Patterson, the accomplice of Turner who murdered Midd Jennie Bowman, in Louisville has been sentenced to be hung. They will both be worked off the 1st of July. The following is the programme of exercises of Jackson High School: Thursday and Friday June 9th and 10th, examination; Sunday June 11, 11 a. m. commencement sermon; Monday 13th, 8 p. m. history and musical entertainment; Thursday 14th, 10 a.m. closing exercises followed by an address. About the first of June a monster balloon will start from St. Louis on a trip to the eastern seaboard. A government meteorologist, a photographer, a reporter of the New York World and a navigator will make up the passenger list. Street Commissioner Pieratt is making wonderful improvement to our town and the good citizends should lend him all the help within their power. He is the best or among the best overseers who has ever yet been apointed and if the weather continues so that he can give the streets the needed work, we expect them soon as nice as any town can boast of.
