New Volume III is Now Available

"The Books are here." said Maxine Brewer, President of the Wolfe County Woman’s Club, as she proudly displayed the newest book in the Club’s Wolfe County History Book series.

The latest volume of the History of Wolfe County contains another 537 pages of Wolfe County history and genealogy. The book is published in a special navy blue hardback edition embossed in silver. Ms. Brewer said, "We’ve worked hard to produce two new books in the past two years. We are very pleased not only with the content, but with the quality and attractiveness of the books."

The book’s editor, Thelma Carroll Rice, said the twenty-nine articles of genealogy and history contain nearly 15,000 more names to help piece together the County’s past. She added, " Most of the material has never been published before." Ms. Rice praised the authors for their tireless research and their willingness to share their findings with others.

Billye Adams, a member of the Club’s History Book Committee and the County Librarian, said, "Many people have used our first two books to trace their family genealogy. Our third volume continues the important work of documenting Wolfe County’s past."
