OBITUARY: Campbell, Flossie (Fields) - Tuesday, September 20, 2011 Published in Lexington Herald-Leader on September 22, 2011. Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************* Flossie Fields Campbell, 94, of Campton, KY, went Home to be with the Lord on Sep 20, 2011 at the Wolfe Co. Health Care & Rehab Center. She was born in Lee Co, KY on Sep 15, 1917 to the late John and Calastie Treadway Fields and was the widow of the late Marshall Omer Campbell and was affiliated with the First Church of God. Flossie, along with her husband Marsh, operated the Campbell's Restaurant & Pool Hall in Campton for 35 years. Survivors include three sons, Forrest Campbell (Pearlie) of Troy, OH, Campbell's Barber Shop owner, Bill Campbell and wife Brenda of Zachariah, KY, and Campton Mayor Gay Campbell (Liz) of Campton; three brothers, Lloyd and Johnny Fields, both of Dayton, OH, and Ray Fields of Alabama; two sisters, Dorothy Fraley of Cincinnati, OH and Georgetta Wireman of Clay City, KY; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, one son, Joe Campbell, one grandchild, two brothers, Robert and Oscar Fields; and two sisters, Margaret Turley and May Gay. Services will be Fri, Sep 23 at 1pm in the chapel of the Porter & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Doyle Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Evans Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thu, Sep 22 after 6pm.
