OBITUARY: Banks, Carl - Tuesday, July 12, 2011 Published in Dayton Daily News from July 14 to July 17, 2011 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************* BANKS, Carl Age 60 of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Carl was born in Wolfe County, KY to Cleveland & Carrie (Watkins) Banks. Carl was an ice cream man and loved selling his soft serve ice cream. He sold ice cream for over 40 years and will be dearly missed by his many customers. Carl was also a longtime member of Moraine Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; 8 siblings, Junior, Jim, June Isenhower, Stella, Wanda, John, Paul, and Gary. He is survived by 2 brothers, James (Ann) Banks, and Pat (Faye) Banks; 2 sisters, Mary (Ron) Myers, and Mae (Kenny) Fleenor; 1 uncle, Billy Watkins; 3 children, Amber (Wendell) North, April (James) Mosley, and Tony (Matthew Ayers) Banks; 4 grandhildren, Clint, Chris, Kayla, and Cole; and many more nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Funeral services will be held 7:30 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOMES, NEW LEBANON, 324 W. Main St. 45345. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:30 PM until the start of the service.
