(Adams) - Saturday, June 18, 2011 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************* O'BRYANT, Flossie E. age 89, of Troy, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 18, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Harkless C. O'Bryant; son, James M. O'Bryant; both parents, Jessie W. and Mary J. Adams; three sisters, Ruby G. Adams, Sally M. Heflin and Emma L. Kain; five brothers, Jesse L. Adams, James E. Adams, Maurice C. Adams, John P. Adams, and Rondal L. Adams. Flossie is survived by her children, Harkless C. O'Bryant, Jr. and Sharron Short; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Francis M. Whaling; Vanita J. Moon, Reva Milligan, Billie M. Maggard and Ruth E. Burchett; beloved sister-in-law and precious friend, Lila M. Gibson; a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Flossie was a member of Troy Freewill Baptist Church in Troy, Ohio, and retired from General Motors. She was a lifelong learner, avid reader and gardener. Her life was filled with joy by family, friends and her relationship with Jesus Christ. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Blessed Hope Baptist Church (3151 Annabelle Dr., Kettering, Ohio) with funeral services beginning at 12:00 pm with her son, Pastor H.C. O'Bryant and grandson, Timothy O'Bryant officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blessed Hope Baptist Church for Baptist International Missions Memorial Fund.
