OBITUARY: Clark, Jackson Rollie - Sunday, June 23, 1968 Wolfe Co News June 1968 Submitted by: Kanty Nippert ********************************************************************* Jackson Rollie Clark, 93, of Georgetown, KY, formerly of Wolfe County, died in the Mary Chiles Hospital, Mt Sterling, at 10:32 PM Sunday, June 23, 1968, after a two week illness. A native of Wolfe County, he was sheriff here from 1938 to 1942. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was the son of William and Celia (Sample) Clark of Virginia, who came to Wolfe County in 1850. Widower of Emma Jane Cox (d.1926) and Joan Rose (d.1950) Survivors are two sons, Elmer Clark, Hazel Green, and Raymond Clark, Huntington, W VA; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Lacy, Georgetown, Mrs. Ethel Crain, Mt. Sterling, Miss Lucille Clark, Lexington: five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Services will be conducted at 2 pm today in the Porter & Son Funeral Home here by the Rev. Clell Miller and the Rev. Willie Taylor. Burial will be the Hazel Green Cemetery.
