OBITUARY: Smyth, Gregory Loyd - Friday, July 23, 2010 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************* Gregory Loyd Smyth, age 47, 9th Avenue, Clay City, KY died Friday, July 23, 2010 at his residence. Born in Dayton, Ohio, he was a son of Loyd Smyth, Jr. and Janice Sue Rogers Smyth of Clay City, KY. Greg was a former manager of Dairy Queen Restaurant. He attended Torrent Church of God and was baptized at Clay City Church of Christ. In addition to his parents he is also survived by two daughters: Haley Hall and Sarah Smyth both of Clay City, KY and by two brothers: D. E. (Angie) Smyth of Stanton KY and Philip (Tonya) Smyth of Clay City, KY. Funeral services officiated by Bro. M. C. Rice and Bro. Marvin Hobbs will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Hearne Funeral Home Chapel, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt. Paran Cemetery, Leeco, KY with Randy Strange, Kyle Bellamy, Derek Smyth, Philip Smyth, Scott Smyth and Brandon Kennon serving as his active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Kennon, Pete Thomas, Zack Smyth, Mary Adams, Willis and Millie Caldwell, Paul Smyth, Tommy Smyth and Mildred Sparks. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home.
