OBITUARY: Curtis, Ruth (Taulbee) - Wednesday, May 26, 2010 Courtesy of the Xenia Gazette of Xenia,Ohio Posted 5/27/2010 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************* Ruth Curtis, age 74, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Greene Oaks Care Center in Xenia. She was born April 3, 1936, in Campton, KY, the daughter of Raymond Stanley and Cora Lee (Campbell) Taulbee. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters: Naomi Napier and Helen Taulbee. She is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Curtis, whom she married June 9, 1956; 4 sons: Michael (Tyhese) Curtis of Wilmington; Thomas A. (Katrina) Curtis of TN; Stephen E. and James D. Curtis, both of Xenia; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers: Edwin (Georgetta) Taulbee; Omer Taulbee and Frank (Ann) Taulbee, all of KY; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She attended Southside Church of God where she and her husband enjoyed singing. She also enjoyed gardening. Her boys kept her very busy while they were young and she was very involved in their school and church activities. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Southside Church of God, Lake St., Xenia, with Rev. Joe Sweet officiating. Interment to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Services are in care of McColaugh Funeral Home Inc.
