Wolfe County, KY.

This indenture made and entered in to this the 22ndday of September 1869 by and between Thomas Tolson and Rebecca Tolson his wifeof the County of Wolfe and State of Kentucky of the first part and C. C. Hanks of the County of Wolfe and State of Kentucky afore Said of the Second part.  Witnessed that for and in consideration of the Sume of Ninety Dollars and Twenty Cents in hand paid the receipt where of is here by acknowledged the party of the first has this day bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain aline convey and confirm unto the Said Party of the Second Part one certain Tract or Parcel of Land Lying and being in the County of Wolfe and State of Kentucky and on Hirarms Branch at the water of Swift’s Camp Creek and bounded as follows.  To wit. Beginning on the west side of the County Road leading from Campton to the Calaboose. Then down the point to said road Wilderness Branch. Then on down said Branch to a Saw wood tree at the corner of what is known as the McPhersonfarm to F. M. Spencers deed line. Then on with Said Spencers line to David B.Roses line on the dividing ridge between Stillwater and Swifts Camp Creek.  Then on with said Roses line to Thomas Tolsons line now owned by C. C. Hanks. Then on with said line to the beginning.  To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with their appertainances there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining there to and the said Thomas Tolson & C. a fore said do fix their covenant and agree to and with The Party of the Second Part his heirs and assigns for ever that they will their heirs and assigns Shall warrant and forever defend the said herein before described from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever.  In testimony whereof  the party of the Second Part have here to set their hands & Seal this day and year first above written.

     I,  A. P. Lacy clerk of the Wolfe County Courtdo certify that the foregoing deed of Conveyance from Thomas Tolson and Rebecca Tolson his wife to C. C. Hanks was this day Produced to me in my office and duly acknowledged by the Said Grantors to be their act and deed for the purpose there in contained and I certify the same is Duly Recorded in my office Given under my hand this 22nd day of Sept 1869

22 September 1869 between Thomas Tolson and Rebecca Tolson and C. C. Hanks.  

We received this copy from Tutt Lambert and would like to have it posted on the 

Wolfe County Page.  Thomas and Rebecca Tolson were Rita's gg grandparents.
