I was looking through some of my Aunt Daisy's papers and found this memory of when she was a little girl. Growing up in Wolfe Co. And I wanted to share it.

I remember very well being a spoiled little girl standing in our door watching for the one who helped spoil me. Yelling at old Anderson, Rose are a few. And Anderson bought me the only doll I had. I remember hauling it, it could cry, say mama to sleep she was a bisque doll with real curly hair. I named my sister Nancy Mae after it. When I was 3yrs old I went to church at Lacy Creek, KY. Rode in my dads lap to small to ride behind. My little brother James Edward died, (he was older than her died when he was around a year old.) he was named after both of his grandparents. His death was the cause, I got spoiled. Cast me lots of spankings. But I never blamed my dear mother and dad. They didn't have children for 4 yrs after marriage.

I guess Aunt Daisy couldn't remember the girls names. And I can't figure out why she would spell Wood with an s some times. I know there's always been a conflict if there is an s on the end or not. Its pronounced like
there is.
about family when I was a child. She is the reason I love family history. I just wish I wrote down everything.
