Our thanks go out to SHIRLEY BREWER for the wonderful selection of old pictures she sent in. The collection includes (but not limited to) photos of 13 of the 15 children of Franklin Marsh and Louise Wyatt Spencer, one taken in the late 1800's or early 1900's of George Washington Brewer's family, another taken abt 1910 (some Spencer's are also in this picture), a school photo ca 1909 taken at Rogers Ky (Brewer, Spencer, Bush and more unidentified children), and one of Elizabeth Nickell King and her four daughters taken ca 1930.
++++++++++ Our thanks also go out to JACK CENTER. He & his family sent in a picture of the CAMPTON BASEBALL TEAM taken between 1910 - 1915. Two of the players identified are Porter Center b. 1897 Dan Center b. 1892 Can you help identify any more of those players?

Ms Thelma Carroll Rice, Chairperson & Editor of the History Book Committee Has informed us that the new book, "HISTORY of WOLFE COUNTY, KY" VOLUME II, is due for release later this month. The East Kentucky Chat Room has seen a dramatic increase in participation. Folks from eleven different mailing lists, including Russell Co., Va., are stopping by. We rarely have a night that, at least, one brickwall isn't chipped into! Besides the new contacts that we're all making here, we're being told by many (including first time chatters) that our chat room is a comfortable and fun place to be.
