James Kirby McCHESNEY, 58, former Shady Grove resident, died Thursday in an Evansville hospital. Survivors are the wife, Effie, of Marion; sons, Guy of Henderson, and Rayburn of Washington, D.C.; and one grandson. Funeral services were held in the Shady Grove Baptist church with the Rev. J.C. LILLY officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove cemetery.

J.R. McCLAIN, 76, died at 4 a.m. Friday at his home in Providence after an illness of six weeks. He was a retired farmer and formerly operated a grocery store here. Surviving are the wife, Nancy; a daughter, Mrs. Marvin HALL, Providence; and a brother, Sam McClain, Dixon. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Second Baptist church, of which he was a charter member, with the Rev. George GASS, of Nortonville, officiating. Burial was in Day family cemetery, near Dixon.

Sam F. McCLAIN, 76, a retired farmer, died at 12:50 a.m. Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Veston STONE, near Clay. Surviving are six sons, Morris of Evansville, Curtis and Bobby Joe of Henderson, Jack and Frank of Chicago, and George Edward, who is serving in the Air Force; three daughters, Mrs. Aubrey DAVIS and Miss Nellie McClain, of Evansville, and Mrs. Stone; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at New Harmony Baptist Church at Vandersburg, with the Rev. James ALDERSON of Evansville officiating. Burial was in Tirzah cemetery.

Allen DIXON McCLARNEY, 17, of Corydon, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in Henderson hospital from injuries received late
Saturday when a car in which he was riding with Rudy Rufus TAPP of Little Dixie crashed into a bridge abutment two
miles south of Poole. Tapp, who also was taken to the hospital, received cuts about the face and head. McClarney is
survived by the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen McClarney; three sisters, Lois Myrle, Mary Lucille, and Frances Pearl, all at
home; and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. McClarney, Corydon, and Oliver Dixon of Sebree. Funeral services were
held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Christian church in Poole, with the Rev. William DOSSETT, a former classmate of McClarney,
now a student in Nashville, Tenn., officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove cemetery, Poole.

Funeral services for Thomas McCLARNEY, 75, of Sebree, Route 1, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, with the Rev. E.Y. LASLIE of Poole officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole. Mr. McClarney died Wednesday in Methodist Hospital in Henderson where he had been a partient since Tuesday evening when he suffered a heart attack. Survivors are four daughters; two sons; two sisters, Mrs. Lilly BRIDWELL of Henderson and Mrs. Charlie COBB of Evansville; and two brothers, John of Corydon and Ellis of Sebree, Rural Route. Ben F. McCLENDON, 66, died at 2 p.m. Thursday in Western State Hospital in Hopkinsville. He formerly lived in Providence and
in the Clay section. Survivors are the wife, Brown, of Clay; two brothers, George and Oscar McClendon of Dexter, Mo.; and a
half-brother, Albert GABHART of Clay. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in S.E. Montgomery and Son Funeral
Home in Providence. The Rev. R.T. MITCHELL of Clay officiating. Burial was in Fraser cemetery.

Ernest McCONNELL, 41, who formerly lived in Providence, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday in his home in Sikeston, Mo., after a long
illness. He underwent an operation in the spring, and had been ill for several months, his condition becoming critical a few weeks
ago. He was the only son of the late Dr. J.D. McConnell, who practiced medicine in Shady Grove and Providence a number of
years, and Mrs. Fannie McConnell. Mr. McConnell for several years was manager of stores in Missouri towns, and later was an
insurance company representative in sections of Kentucky and Missouri. Survivors are his mother; the wife, the former Miss
Myrtle HALL; and two children, Ernest McConnell, jr., 14, and Davida, 9, all of Sikeston. Funeral services were set for 2:30 p.m.

James Elbert McCONNELL, 77, died at 4 p.m. Friday at his home in Shady Grove. Surviving are the wife, the former Alpha TOWERY, six daughters, Mrs. Crystal SHINALL of Plymouth, Ind., Mrs. Mary BECKNER of Repton, Mrs. Elizabeth NEWMAN of Clay, Mrs. Dixie SAMS and Mrs. Virginia DRENNON of Evansville, and Miss Carrie McConnell of Shady Grove; one son, J.T. McConnell of Owensboro; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Henry of Veachland, and J.M. McConnell of Clovis, N.M. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sugar Grove Church in Crittenden county, with the Rev. A.R. POOLE of Madisonville officiating, assisted by the Rev. Everett McConnell of Marion. Burial was in Sugar Grove cemetery.

Mrs. James H. McCORD, 58, former Webster county resident, died at her home in Henderson at 5:15 p.m. Thursday after an illness of two years. Survivors are the husband; a sister, Mrs. Annie VICK, of Lisman; a niece and foster daughter, Mrs. William CONDOR, of Henderson; and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Audubon Baptist church in Henderson, with the Rev. Lyman Smith ALLEN officiating. Burial was in Fernwood cemetery, Henderson.

William Kerney McCORD, sr., 69, died at 5:26 p.m. Monday in an Evansville hospital following a heart attack suffered at his home in Clay Sunday night. He was admitted to the hospital Monday afternoon two hours before his death. Mr. McCord was born in Hopkins county and later lived in Marion. He was a brickmason by trade and did contract work. He built a number of buildings in Clay, including the First Baptist Church. For 12 years he was in the garage and bus business and retired in 1947. He was a member of Clay Masonic lodge. Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Belle Hunt McCord; three daughters, Miss Evelyn McCord and Mrs. George BRANTLEY of Cupertino, Calif., and Mrs. William J. FRAZIER of Burlingame, Calif.; two sons, W.K. McCord, jr., of Campbell, Calif., and Clarence Earl of Clay; two brothers, John D., of Manila, P.I., and Clarence M., Clay; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Clay First Baptist Church, with Dr. C.O. SIMPSON, officiating, assisted by the pastor, the Rev. G.R. ABERNATHY. Burial was in I.O.O.F. cemetery in Clay with Masons in charge.

Steve Allen McCORMICK, 77, died Thursday at his home in Slaughters following a long illness. Surviving are the wife, Annie; sons, Tommy, of Inkster, Mich., and Herschel, of Hanson; two daughters, Mrs. Flo FINN, Evansville, and Mrs. Nettie D. ABSHIRE, of Germany; one sister, and a number of grandchildren. Funeral services were held at New Salem Methodist church at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. J.E. HARTFORD officiating, assisted by the Rev. T.O. KYLE. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Annie McCOY, 74, widow of the late H.T. McCoy, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lem KILLOUGH,
near Providence, following an illness of a week resulting from a fractured left arm and shock suffered in a fall. Mrs. McCoy spent
the greater part of her life in Webster county, but for the last twenty years had lived in Evansville until coming to her daughter's home
recently. She professed faith when a young girl and united with the Vandersburg church, in which she retained her membership the
remainder of her life. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Killough, Providence, Mrs. Forrest DAY, Madisonville, Mrs. John McELROY,
Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Emil J. BECKER, Evansville; two sons, A.D. McCoy, Owensboro, and Charles H. McCoy, Evansville;
one brother, W.F. WRIGHT, Oklahoma City, Okla.; sixteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held
at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the home of Mrs. Killough, with the Rev. E.G. SISK of Dixon officiating. Grandsons were pallbearers and
granddaughters were flower bearers. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery, Evansville.

Mrs. Bettie McCOY, 54, died at her home near Providence at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday following a seven months' illness. Survivors are the husband, Burnett McCoy; her father, J.A. GARDNER; and a brother, Leslie Gardner, Providence. Funeral services were held at the home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Nealey PEARCY of Dixon officiating. Burnett McCOY, 91, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday of last week at the home of his sister, Miss Sarah McCoy, in the Liberty section. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. J.A. GARDNER and Miss McCoy, near Providence; a brother, W.W. McCoy, near Providence; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 12:30 p.m. Friday in Star Hope Church with the Rev. Charles H. McCOY, 48, died Friday, Oct. 29, in Union City, Tenn. He was a former employee of Sears Roebuck and Co., Evansville. He is survived by his wife, Lucile; a brother, A.D. McCoy, Owensboro; four sisters, Mrs. Lem KILLOUGH, Providence, Mrs. Emil BECKNER, Evansville, Mrs. Forrest DAY, Madisonville, and Mrs. Johnny McELROY, Cincinnati; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at Johann Funeral Home in Evansville with burial in Oak Hill cemetery in Evansville.

J.L. (Jim) McCOY, 85, died at 3 a.m. Monday at his home in the Liberty section near Providence. Surviving are the wife, Geneva; two daughters, Mrs. Hugh CATES of Nebo and Mrs. Letcher MELTON of Dixon; one grandson and one great-grandson. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Star Hope church, with the Rev. Oscar DUNCAN and the Rev. Charles POLLEY officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Virgie MOORE McCOY, 53, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday shortly after leaving her home in Providence to go to Henderson, where she was a teacher in Weaverton school. Death was attributed to a heart attack. She was the widow of Ellis McCoy, who died a number of years ago, and was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Martha Moore, Providence; a sister, Mrs. Wesley CROWE, Providence; and two brothers, Arnold Moore of Providence and Leslie Moore, Miami, Fla. The body is at Melton Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. Leslie CHAPMAN will officiate. Burial will be in Big Hill cemetery.

Sebree, Ky. - Billy CHAPMAN McCULLY, 77, died at 5 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville after a short illness. He was a retired businessman, He operated a hardware store in Sebree for 35 years and was formerly a city judge and city councilman. He was a World War II Army veteran, a deacon at First Baptist Church, a member of Sebree Masonic Lodge and a Kentucky Colonel. He helped start the first Little League baseball organization in the Sebree-Slaughters area in 1954. Surviving are his wife, Mona (TOW); three sons, Mike of Columbus, Ind., Mark of Sebree and Dennis of Slaughters; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Tompkins Funeral Home Sebree-Poole Chapel, with burial in the family plot at Springdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church building fund. Funeral services for James Forrest McCURRY, 49, of Sebree, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Petersburg Methodist Church, with the Rev. Edward HENRY officiating. Burial was in the Petersburg cemetery. Mr. McCurry was found dead in bed at his home in Sebree at 6 a.m. Wednesday. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver McCurry, Sebree; a sister, Mrs. Cletis CLARK, Dixon; and two brothers, Estil and Joe McCurry of Sebree.
