Second Lt. Thomas Daves JOHNSTON, 25, Army Air Forces, pursuit plane pilot, was killed in an aircraft accident near Orlando, Fla., at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to a message sent his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.Y. Johnston, of Madisonville. The message gave no details. Lt. Johnston had been in the service two years on August 12. Survivors besides the parents are his widow, Mrs. Ola May Johnston, Orlando, Fla., and a brother, A.O. Johnston of Madisonville. He was a nephew of Mrs. James E. TAPP of Providence. It is thought the body will be brought to Madisonville for burial. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, September 9, 1943.

William K. JOINER, 58, Nebo, died instantly early Monday morning when hit by a car driven by Robert K. DAVEY, Hanna City, Ill. Joiner was walking near the W.M. PORTER farm a fourth of a mile west of Nebo on U.S. Highway 41 and was enroute to report for work for Foster & Creighton construction company engaged in highway work near Providence. His skull was fractured and his neck was broken. Davey waived preliminary hearing in Madisonville Monday afternoon on a charge of voluntary manslaughter and executed $2,000 bond to await September grand jury action. Davey was said to have fallen asleep at the wheel. Surviving Joiner are his widow, Mrs. Callie Joiner, and five children, Bracie Joiner and Mrs. Gertie WALKER, Nebo; Mrs. Jewell KING, Detroit; Mrs. Geneva THOMAS, Georgetown, and Mrs. Evelyn GRANT, Evansville. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Nebo Baptist church with the Rev. W.D. DRUMMOND officiating. Burial was in Olive Branch cemetery near Hanson. Mrs. A.L. JONES, 86, of Henderson, formerly of Clay, died at 7:20 p.m. Friday, July 1, in the Methodist Hospital in Henderson approximately an hour after she suffered a heart attack. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle YOUSE of Henderson; two great-grandchildren and two nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 3, at the Otis A. Benton and Son Funeral Home and burial was in Henderson. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, July 14, 1955.

Aubra JONES, 49, died Friday in his home near Evansville after a brief illness. Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Jessie Jones; two daughters, Mary Ann and Dorothy; two sisters, Mrs. Artie BROWN and Mrs. Era OAKLEY, Slaughters; and two brothers, Henry Jones, Dixon, and Larry Jones, Slaughters. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday and burial was in Tupman cemetery, near Evansville. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, September 6, 1945.

Mrs. Beulah JONES, 36, died Saturday morning in a Maywood, Calif., hospital following several months' illness. Mrs. Jones, the former Beulah KELLOUGH, was reared in Webster county. Survivors are the husband, John Jones; a sister, Mrs. Lillian RYAN, of California; four brothers Gilbert and Cheslye Kellough of Corydon, Eurye Kellough of Howell, Ind., and Evan Kellough of Evansville; two sisters, Mrs. Charlie FOWLER of Henderson and Mrs. Brody DENTON of Corydon; and a number of nieces and nephews. Callis JONES, 78, of Newburgh, died at 7:55 a.m. yesterday at St. Mary's Medical Center. Mr. Jones, a member of the Protestant faith, was a past president and director of Newburgh Youth Foundation and was a Kentucky Colonel. He had owned the Village Market in Newburgh from 1950 to 1969. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Margaret WIEGELE; daughters, Carole S. PALMER of Lexington, Ky., and Barbara L. MOORE of East Peoria, Ill.; a sister, Ama Lee LENFERS of Evansville; brothers, Nelson of Sebree, Ky., and B.W. of Dallas; a grandchild, William Palmer, Jr. of Russell, Ky.; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Simpson Funeral Home in Newburgh, the Rev. Gaylon PRICE officiating, with burial in Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Sebree, Ky. Charles A. JONES, 72, died Sunday night of a heart attack at his home in Sturgis. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jettie ADAMSON of Sturgis, Mrs. Charline Adamson and Mrs. Marion CHANDLER of Crittenden county; a son, Tommy Jones of Crittenden county; a brother, Jake Jones, near Clay; and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie McMAIN of Grangertown. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bell's Mines church, with the Rev. Wallace RUTHERFORD of Hopkinsville officiating. Burial was in Union county. Mrs. Claudia JONES, 86, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at her home in Slaughters following several weeks of illness. She was the widow of J.W. Jones, who died on the same date, July 9, fourteen years ago. She was a member of the Methodist church and was active in the church until ill health prevented. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. C.E. WITHERS of Providence, Mrs. James ELLISON of Gross Point [sic], Mich., Miss Virginia Jones and Miss Sara Beth Jones, Slaughters; a son, John K. Jones, Birmingham, Mich.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. J.F. COFFMAN, Slaughters. Funeral services were held at the home at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. A.N. YANCEY, pastor of Slaughters Methodist Church,officiating, assisted by the Rev. J.E. HARTFORD and the Rev. L.F. PIERCEY. Burial was in Slaughters cemetery. Dan JONES, 82, died at 10 a.m. Monday in his home in Nebo. Survivors are the wife; a daughter, Miss Ruby Jones, Nebo; and a son, Archie Jones, Evansville. Funeral services were held at 2 :30 p.m. Tuesday in Nebo Baptist church, the Rev. Rupert UTLEY officiating. Burial was in Union cemetery, Nebo. Pvt. Ernest J. JONES was killed in action in France on Aug. 11, according to a War Department telegram received last Friday by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Jones of Diamond. Pvt. Jones, who was twenty-six years old on Dec. 16, is survived by his parents and a sister. Agnes. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, August 31, 1944.

Floyd Allen JONES, 20-months-old son of H.F. Jones, died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the home in Providence. Surviving besides the father are a brother, H.C. Jones, Martin, Tenn.; four sisters, Dorothy, Sue, Phyllis, and Martha, of Providence; and grandfather, Dillard PERDUE, Madisonville. Funeral services and burial were held Sunday at Gardner Station near Martin, Tenn. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, November 18, 1948.

George Clay (Doc) JONES, 83, retired farmer, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at his home on U.S. 41, near Providence. Surviving are the wife, Beulah; a daughter, Mrs. Roy STEINBAUGH, Providence route 1; a son, Clay Jones, Providence route 1; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas Jones, Indianapolis, Ind. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the home, with the Rev. E.G. SISK officiating. Burial was in Johnston Island cemetery in Hopkins county. Hickman JONES, 64, funeral director and member of the Slaughters Mercantile Company, died at 10 a.m. Friday at his home in Slaughters following several years of ill health. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Jeanette TOOMBS Jones; a daughter, Mrs. Paul VAN HOY, Slaughters; three grandchildren; two brothers, Ed Jones and Ernest Jones, both of Slaughters; and a sister, Mrs. Homer BAILEY, Bartlettsville, Okla. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Slaughters Methodist church, with the Rev. L.F. PIERCY in charge. Burial was in Slaughters cemetery. Mrs. I.N. JONES, 75, died at 2 a.m. Saturday at the home of a son, Bud Jones, in Madisonville after a year of illness. Surviving besides the son at whose home she died are another son, Albert N. Jones of Clay; two daughters, Mrs. H. DENTON, Grapevine road, and Mrs. W.O. FOWLER, Dayton, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Sallie FARRIS, Madisonville. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Madisonville First Baptist church, of which she had been a member for thirty years, with the Rev. Harold J. PURDY officiating. John JONES, 44, former Webster county resident, died in California on Feb. 9 after several months illness. His wife, Mrs. Beulah KELLOUGH Jones, died on Dec. 8, 1945. Surviving are two sisters, Lorraine Jones and Pearl GREECE, of Indianapolis, Ind. Burial was Tuesday in Rose Hill Memorial Park in California. Henderson, Ky. - Lida JONES, 92, died Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. She was a member of Henderson General Baptist Church. Surviving are five daughters, Jeanie SHELTON of Henderson, Eula BOWMAN of Columbia, S.C., Peggy WINTERMAN and Gladys ESTES, both of Evansville, and Linda VINCENT of Robards; four sons, John Kenneth of Fenton, Mo., Emerson of Frankfort, Billy of Columbia and Gary of Versailles; 20 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Her husband, George T., died in 1976. Services will be at noon Saturday at Tapp Funeral Home, with burial in Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Webster County. Louis C. (Preacher) JONES, 46, who lived in Providence several years ago, died at 7:40 p.m. Thursday in an Evansville hospital where he had been a patient since the previous Saturday. He was taken to the hospital after suffering a heart attack and was in an oxygen tent until his death. He had been Texaco distributor and city councilman at Morganfield for several years. Survivors are the wife, the former Lucille Benjamin HANKINS; mother, Mrs. R.L. Jones, Morganfield; sister, Mrs. John DAVIS, Paducah; and two brothers, Murray, of Morganfield, and Russell, of Willetts, Calif. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Baptist church in Morganfield, with the Rev. R.B. PRENTISS officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellows cemetery in Morganfield. Sebree, Ky. - Margie J. JONES, 96, of Sebree, died at 6 a.m. Monday at Redbanks Nursing Center in Henderson. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Lebanon General Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Ama Lee LENFERS of Evansville; three sons, Callis Jones of Newburgh, Ind., Nelson Jones of Sebree and B.W. Jones of Dallas; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Lebanon General Baptist Church in Dixon, with burial in the church cemetery. Mrs. Marion JONES, 65, formerly of Clay, died Friday night in Hopkins County Hospital in Madisonville. Surviving are four sons, Marion of Louisville, Henry B., Samuel, and Joe F. Jones, all of Webster county; and a daughter, Miss Emma Jones, Butlerville, Ind. Funeral services were held Sunday at Pilgrim Holiness Church in Clay. Burial was in Bordley cemetery. Mary Francis JONES, 2 years and 8 months old, died Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock at her home in Sebree of burns received Tuesday night when her clothes caught fire from an open grate. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Floyd Jones. Other survivors include four sisters, Dorothy Mae, Joyce Sue, Eilline, and Martha Marie. Mrs. Mary Jane JONES (Aunt Sis), 79, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of a son, George Jones, near Dixon. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Lee WILKERSON, Evansville; two sons, George and Willie Jones, near Dixon; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. D.O. HUNTER, Sebree; and five brothers, Willie BRIDWELL of Poole, Russell, Joe, Tom, and George Bridwell, Sebree rural route. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Mt. BROWN and Mrs. Oscar OAKLEY, Slaughters; three sons, Henry B. and Larry W., Slaughters, and Aubra, Howell, Ind.; sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Ben Henry JOYCE, 41, died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday at his home in Indianapolis, Ind. He was born and reared in Webster county and had been in Indianapolis since January 1949. The body was brought Saturday morning to Franklin and Edwards Funeral Home in Clay. Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Hazel Joyce; mother, Mrs. Ora FERGUSON; two brothers, Rufus Joyce and Vernon Joyce, all of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Angeline PLANK of Indianapolis and Mrs. Alpha LYLE of Summerville, N.J. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rock Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. E.G. SISK of Dixon officiating. Burial was in I.O.O.F. cemetery, Clay. J. Sterling JUSTICE, 62, died at 8 p.m. Thursday in his home near Providence following a long illness. He had been in failing health for the last two years but became seriously ill five months ago. A son of the late Rev. R.E. Justice and Rosa WALKER Justice, he was born April 18, 1884 in Robinson County, Tenn. He professed faith in Christ at the age of 14 years and united with the Methodist church at Pleasant View, Tenn. At the age of 18 he came to Kentucky and had lived here since that time. On April 18, 1907, he was married to Miss Byrd TITHERINGTON, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Burks HILL, Providence; four brothers, Edwin Justice, Nashville, Tenn.; James and Hershel Justice, Cedar Hill, Tenn.; and John Justice, Pleasant View, Tenn.; and five sisters, Mrs. Laura INFANGER and Miss Eula Justice, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Stuart JAMES of Cedar Hill, Tenn., Mrs. Martin FREY of Springfield, Tenn., and Mrs. J.E. DOWLEN of Pleasant View, Tenn. Funeral services were conducted at the home Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. T.G. HACKNEY, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Pallbearers were G.T. Mrs. Amy BROWN received word Tuesday that her grandson, Jessie Wallace KANE, 27, son of Than Kane of St. Louis, was killed in action while in the service of the U.S. Navy. The young man, who was born in Providence during the family's residence here, enlisted in the Navy in December and when last heard from was somewhere in the southern Pacific. Survivors besides the grandmother here, are the father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Than Kane of St. Louis; a brother, Clyde, who is in foreign service with the Army; sisters, Mrs. Sylvester OVERTURF, Mrs. Ben GOTTSCHALK, Mrs. Thelma COUTIER, Rayma and Mary Kane, all of St. Louis; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Larkin YARBROUGH, Harrisburg, Ill. Nathaniel KANE, 63, former Providence resident, died at noon Friday in his home in St. Louis of a heart attack. He was a retired city bus driver. He was a son of the late Mrs. Amy BROWN and was a member of Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are the wife, Caroline; five daughters, Mrs. Jim MATTHEWS, Mrs. Dale WINTERS, Mrs. B.C. GOTTSCHALK, and Mrs. Ray STEIMEL, of St. Louis, and Mrs. William BARNES of Newport; a son, Clyde, of St. Louis; 19 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Clem SISK of Providence and Mrs. D.W. DUNBAR of Clovis, N.M.; and four brothers, Albert, Bernie, and Frank Brown, Providence, and Holt Brown, Akron, Ohio. The body was brought to Melton Funeral Home in Providence Sunday night. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Gordon HEARON of Clay officiating, assisted by Elder Eddie BESHEARS of Dawson Springs. Carl D. KELLEY, 42, former Clay resident, died Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at his home in Henderson. He had suffered from a heart ailment for twelve years, but was bedfast only one week preceding his death. Mr. Kelley, who was born and reared near Clay, had lived in Henderson the past six months. He formerly operated a restaurant in Clay, and was a member of the Waggener General Baptist church. Survivors are the widow, Prudie; daughters, Mrs. Sterling WOMACK of Detroit, Mich., and Miss Anabel Kelley, at home; a son C.W. Kelley, at home; mother, Mrs. Betty Kelley, near Sullivan; three sisters, Mrs. Alpha RAMSEY, Berkeley, Calif., Mrs. Edna PORTER, Dexter, Mo., and Mrs. Opal MULCAHY, Boxville; two brothers, Lobar of Los Angeles, Calif., and Henry Kelley of Camus Valley, Ore. Funeral services were conducted at the General Baptist church in Clay Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. C. H. HOWARD in charge. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, Clay. Mrs. Martha E. BRUCHETT KELLEY, 96, Clay rural route, died at 5 a.m. Saturday at the home of a son, H.A. Kelley, in Sturgis. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. J.W. ASBRIDGE of Clay, Mrs. A.O. POTTS of Evansville, and Mrs. Clyde HAWKINS of Providence; three sons, D.H. and Charles E. Kelley of Clay, and H.A. Kelley of Sturgis; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Bordley Church of Christ, of which she was a member, with the Rev. Harley DYSON of Morganfield officiating. Burial was in Bordley cemetery. Funeral services for Mrs. James KELLOUGH, sr., 75, former Webster county resident, who died May 29 at the home of her son, G.L. Kellough, in Corydon, were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Corydon Christian church. The Rev. E.G. SISK of Dixon officiated. Mrs. Kellough was a lifelong resident of Webster county until the last five years which she spent in Henderson. Survivors are four sons, Evan of Evansville, Ernye of Howell, Ind., C.P. and G.L. Kellough of Corydon; four daughters, Mrs. Lillian RYAN of Bell, Calif., Mrs. John JONES of Maywood, Calif., Mrs. Charles FOWLER of Henderson, and Mrs. Brodie DENTON of Corydon; fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Elvie KEMP, 40, wife of Dr. W.C. Kemp of Dixon and widely known in both Webster and Crittenden counties, died suddenly at her home in Dixon about 9 o'clock Friday evening. Death was probably due to apoplexy. Apparently she was in the best of health and had romped and played with the children during the day. About 8:30 she complained of a pain over one eye and spoke of retiring. Becoming alarmed at her condition, Dr. Kemp summoned another physician, but she expired in a few moments. Besides the husband the deceased is survived by three children. Mrs. Kemp was the daughter of the late Milt BABB, wealthy farmer of Crittenden county. She also leaves three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Press FORD and Roscoe Babb, of Providence, Mrs. W.D. TUDOR of Shady Grove and Miss Iva Babb. Johnnie KEMP, 81, brother of Mrs. Luro BRANTLEY of Providence, died at 3 p.m. Monday at his home in East Prairie, Mo. He formerly lived in Shady Grove. He is also survived by a brother, R.T. Kemp, Princeton; the wife and five children in East Prairie; and daughter, Mrs. David GIVENS, Clarksville, Tenn., and Mrs. Kerney BENJAMIN, Phoenix, Ariz. Funeral and burial were in East Prairie. Travis B. KENDALL, 80, former resident of Sebree, died at 10 p.m. Friday at his home in Hopkinsville. Surviving are two brothers, Arch Kendall of Sebree and Patrick Kendall of Slaughters. Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Springfield Funeral Home in Sebree, with Berry F. MAJOR officiating. Burial was in Onton Cemetery. Judge David Hayes KINCHELOE, 72, former member of the U.S. House of Representatives from the second congressional district of Kentucky, died Sunday morning in Doctors Hospital in Washington, D.C., after suffering two heart attacks. Judge Kincheloe, who practiced law in Madisonville before becoming congressman, was born on a farm near Sacramento. At the age of 37 he was elected to congress and served for sixteen years, staying on to become dean of Kentucky's delegation. He never had opposition in the democratic party during the time he was in congress. In 1930 he was appointed to the customs court by President Herbert HOOVER and served in that capacity until retiring two years ago. Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Laura S. Kincheloe; a daughter, Mrs. James H. DAVIS, of Washington; three brothers, Peyton W. and Robert D. Kincheloe, of Louisville, and the Rev. Raymond Kincheloe, of Uree, N.C.; and three sisters, Mrs. Frank GIBSON, of Greenville, Mrs. Jennie MORGAN, of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Hasrell COLLINGS, of Calhoun. Funeral services were held in Washington at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and the body was brought to Madisonville, arriving Wednesday afternoon, and remaining in Harris Funeral Home until 9 a.m. Friday, at which time it will be taken to First Methodist church to lie in state until services there at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows cemetery in Madisonville. Mrs. Garnett KING, 27, of Madisonville, wife of Thomas King, former Providence resident, died at 1 p.m. Sunday in Hopkins County Hospital. Survivors are the husband, Thomas; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh PRYOR, sr., Evansville; three brothers, Hugh, jr., Oscar, and Donald Pryor, of Evansville; and three sisters, Mrs. T.G. GUPTON of Ashland City, Tenn., Mrs. Louis COX and Mrs. Pearl BOZARTH of Evansville. Guy KING, 59, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon at his home in Oblong, Ill., of a heart attack. Mr. King spent his early childhood and manhood in Clay. He attended college in Bowling Green and for several years taught in the Webster County school system. He was in business in Clay for several years and then moved to Evansville where hs worked for the Metropolitan Insurance Company, later being transferred to Robinson, Ill. He is survived by his wife, Helen; a son, Guy Harold, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Orville SELLERS, of Evansville; mother, Mrs. W.T. King, of Marion; and three sisters, Mrs. G.O. McCORMICK and Mrs. Ray HENDRIX, of Clay, and Mrs. Jay SIGLER, of Marion. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock in Oblong with burial in Robinson, Ill. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, December 22, 1949.

Ira KING, 85, former Nebo resident, died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in a hospital near Evansville where he had been a patient for three years. Survivors are the wife; a daughter, Mrs. George LUCAS, Henderson; two brothers, W.P. King, Providence route 3, and Bob King, of California; and a sister, Mrs. Ben KNOX, Nebo. The body is at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville and will be there until time for the funeral at 2 o'clock this afternoon in the Methodist church in Nebo. Burial will be in Union cemetery at Nebo. Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Davis KING, 85, who died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles L. FRANKLIN, were held Friday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist church. The Rev. Benjamin CONNAWAY officiated and burial was in Union cemetery, Nebo. Mrs. King received a broken hip in a fall two weeks earlier and had been in a serious condition since that time. Mrs. King was born Aug. 25, 1861 at Nebo and was married in 1881 to James Joseph King who died Sept. 30, 1939. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church in Nebo. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Franklin and Mrs. Janie K. HARLAND of Evansville; one son, Chris H. King, Meridian, miss.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Lola KING, 73, of Slaughters, were held Wednesday afternoon, March 3, at Zion Brick Church, with the Rev. PUTMAN officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. King died Monday, March 1, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Goldie COBB, in Evansville. Survivors besides the daughter are the husband, Bane; a son, Welby, of Evansville; five brothers, Charles and Ovie King of Madisonville, Willis King of Onton, Myrl King of Slaughter, and Lloyd King of Henderson; four sisters, Mrs. Amy GENTRY, Mrs. Ollie RIDDLE, and Mrs. Cassie WOOTEN, Madisonville, and Mrs. Cordie EDWARDS, Slaughters. Louis Daniel KING, 48, of Evansville, former resident of Providence, died at 7 p.m. Monday in an Evansville hospital. Survivors are the wife, the former Miss Rose DORRIS; a daughter, Mrs. L.D. FOX, Henderson; mother, Mrs. Jennie King, Henderson; three sisters, Mrs. Ed KLUTEY, Henderson, Mrs. C.W. WRIGHT, Henderson county, and Mrs. Oscar LAMBERT, Whittier, Calif.; and two brothers, Fount King, Sebree, and Hubert King, Evansville. The body was brought to the home of Mrs. King's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Orville HARRIS, in Providence and funeral services were to be held there at 2:30 this afternoon, with Elder J.D. SHAIN of Madisonville and Elder Alvin CHILDERS officiating. Pallbearers were to be Floyd CULLEN, Wynn FRISBY, Tom BROWN, Clyde PEMBERTON, J.B. FOXWELL, and Gene LLOYD. Mrs. Lucy Ann KING, 86, formerly of Clay, died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at her home in Marion following a stroke suffered Saturday. She was the widow of the late W.T. King. She was a member of the First Baptist church in Marion. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gertie SIGLER of Marion, Mrs. R.R. HENDRIX of the Clay country, and Mrs. George McCORMICK, Clay; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dora WALKER, Providence; and two brothers, Leamon WINEBARGER of Marion and Carl Winebarger of Liberty. The body was brought Tuesday night to Franklin and Hunt Funeral Home in Clay and funeral services will be held there at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Her pastor, the Rev. J.C. LILLY of Marion, will officiate. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. cemetery, Clay. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, September 7, 1950. Compiler's note: W.T. Mun KING, 56, died at 11 p.m. Monday at his home near Dalton following a long illness. He was a member of the Rose Creek Cumberland Presbyterian church. Survivors are the wife, Ethel; a daughter, Mrs. James WILHITE, Providence; father, W.P. King, near Providence; four sisters, Mrs. C.S. BROWN, Bowling Green, Mrs. C.R. FRAZER, Mrs. Elmer HOWTON, and Mrs. Ruth JACKSON, Providence. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, in Rose Creek church, with the Rev. Archie PUTMAN officiating. Tillman Floyd KING, 37, Clay, was electrocuted at 11 a.m. Saturday in number 10 mine of West Kentucky Coal Company. There were no witnesses to the accident, but from the position of the body when found on the motor, it appeared that Mr. King, a motorman, in attempting to return the trolley pole to the wire, accidentally touched the wire, making a ground. Born in Marion, Mr. King had been a resident of Clay for twenty years, and was a member of the Clay Methodist church. He was also a member of the Crab Orchard Rod and Gun Club. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Rudelle METZ King; four children, Lynda Lea, Jimmie, Paul Milton, and Mary Louise King, all of Clay; mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Luther C. VAUGHN, near Providence; sisters, Miss Dollie Vaughn, Louisville, and Nora Mae Vaughn, near Providence; and two brothers, L.C. Vaughn, Fort Knox, and James Vaughn, near Providence. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Clay Methodist church, with the pastor, the Rev. R.G. SHAVER and the Rev. R.T. MILLER, First Baptist church pastor, in charge. Pallbearers were T. R. POWELL, Leslie OWEN (?), Thomas WALLACE, Burley FARLEY, and Newman RAILEY, of Clay, and Edwin McGAW of Wheatcroft. Burial was in Pythian Ridge cemetery, Sturgis. William KING, 93, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. C.R. FRAZER, Providence route 3. He had been a member of Rose Creek Cumberland Presbyterian church for eighty years. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Frazer, Mrs. Bernie HOWTON, Providence route 3, and Mrs. Douglas BROWN, Bowling Green; a sister, Mrs. Ben KNOX, Nebo; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ethel Johnston King, Providence; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rose Creek church, with the Rev. G.F. PHELPS of Marion officiating. Burial was in Rose Creek cemetery. William F. KING, 63, died Monday of a cerebral hemorrhage while in his car about a half mile from Sebree. He was enroute from his farm to his home in Sebree. Survivors are the wife, Ode; two sons, Kenneth of Evansville and Billy of Buffalo NY; a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite ZERFOSS of Sebree; two sisters, Mrs. Edward KLUTEY and Mrs. Cleveland WRIGHT of Henderson; a brother, James King of Evansville; and twelve grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Springfield Funeral Home in Sebree, with the Rev. Edward HENRY officiating. Burial was in Springdale Cemetery, Sebree. Mrs. J.F. KIVETTE, Portland, Ore., formerly Miss Ruby SLATON and only sister of Mrs. A.J. SISK of Providence, died in a hospital on Nov. 12 following a major operation. Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 14, the Rev. Wendell L. COE officiating, followed by private vault entombment in Portland Mausoleum. Miss Louise KNIGHT, 28, of Henderson, formerly of Webster county, died Friday in Boehne Hospital, Evansville. Survivors are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Knight and one brother, James T. Knight, Henderson. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in the General Baptist church in Henderson, with the Rev. Charlie HOWARD officiating. Burial was in White Oak cemetery. Robert KNIGHT, 34, of Clay was killed instantly early Monday in an automobile accident in Louisville where he was employed. Survivors are the wife, Mrs. Ella Knight; two sons, Bobby and Frank; one daughter, Betty Fay; one brother, Steve Knight; two half-brothers, Harve and Tom DAVIS; two sisters, Mrs. Forrest WOODRING and Mrs. Virgil MITCHELL, all of near Clay; and one half-sister, Mrs. Lively DALTON, Sturgis. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Clay First Baptist church, with the Rev. E.G. SISK of Diamond officiating. Burial was in I.O.O.F. cemetery, Clay. Fred KORB, 80, former resident of Slaughters, died at his home in Madisonville Friday at 2:30 a.m. Survivors are his wife, Matt; one son, Luther, Toledo, Ohio; a brother, John, of Slaughters; and a sister, Mrs. E.W. FENSKE, Slaughters. Funeral services were held at the Barnett Funeral Home in Madisonville at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. G.W. HUMMEL officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellows cemetery, Madisonville. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, June 5, 1947.

Mrs. Cordelia Luroe KUYKENDALL, 90, of Clay, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Cardwell's Clinic in Providence. She suffered a broken hip in a fall at her home Wednesday night and was admitted Thursday to the clinic. She was the widow of W.L. Kuykendall and was a member of Ashland Cumberland Presbyterian Church, near Clay. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. G.A. FRANKLIN, Mrs. Maud HENSON, and Mrs. H.P. JOHNSON, of Clay; two sons, T.H. Kuykendall and G.P. Kuykendall, of the Ashland section; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ashland church, with the Rev. R.T. MITCHELL of Providence officiating, assisted by the pastor, the Rev. W.W. RUTHERFORD. Burial was in I.O.O.F. cemetery, Clay. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, March 10, 1955. Compiler's note: W.L. Kuykendall, born 1856-buried Jan 21, 1929, is buried beside Cordelia Kuykendall, born 1864-buried Mar 8, 1955 in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Clay. Also buried with them is Gammon P.
