Recently many groups have decided to move their online information from Rootsweb servers because they do not like the banners at the top of our web pages. This has caused many broken links on our Wayne County site.  Please note that this web site has been at this same web address for over 10 years. Rootsweb/Ancestry offers FREE web space to groups wishing to place genealogy information online. Their only request is that we now display their banner at the top of our web pages. All though we don't care for the banners, I do not feel this is a serious enough problem to move this web site. We still have free, unlimited server space and the content of this page remains the property of those who submitted the information to Wayne County KYGenWeb.  Thank you for your patience while I work to fix these broken links.

Normally I hear from lots of folks over the holidays.  Usually it's those who don't use a computer on their own, but are visiting family who have shown them our Wayne County KYGenWeb site.  They haven't begun working on their own family history as yet and had no idea they could access this type of information on the web.  Isn't it wonderful that they can and everything here on KYGenWeb is  FREE access!
For those of you who are new to our site, don't miss our Where do I begin? page.

**Important note:  Some of you may have been concerned when the Ancestry.com banner began appearing at the top of our web pages.  Let me assure you that this banner is only there because Ancestry has given us free web space for our Wayne County site and they now require that we acknowledge this with their banner.  We are not apart of Ancestry.com nor will we be in the future.
