WAYNE CO, KY - From census records in MO in 1880, I found my ancestor, Peter HOLDER with wife, Henrietta and six children born in KY. Descendants of my family have said this family lived in WAYNE COUNTY. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has information regarding the HOLDERS who might be listed in the 1870 census. I also understand that KY has a cross-reference of counties that might show the HOLDERS. I have not been able to track them down. PERDUE, William born 1775 in Virginia. He had moved to Wayne Co. by at least 1820. He married Nancy ____ ? He died 1878 at 103 years old! I am trying to find the link between him and George PERDUE, born abt. 1835. My guess is that George was the son of William F. PERDUE or James PERDUE and that both William F and James were sons of William from Virginia. George had a daughter named Mary Jane (Molly) PERDUE. She was born 7 Dec 1861 in Powersburg. My great grandfather Burris Allen REED born in 1808 was married to Matilda THOMAS in Wayne County in 1827. She was the daughter of John THOMAS who also had daughters by the name of Mahalia and Pamela. Pamela married a DEHART. Burris's Mother Jane REED who was a widow then married Matilda's Father John THOMAS. The REEDs and the THOMAS'moved to Indiania in the 1830's. We have been trying to find out what Jane REED THOMAS' maiden name was. We think perhaps Burris or Allen. We also cannot find who her first husband was. That would be Burris Allen REED's father.

His wife, Rhoda DABNEY RUSSELL was born Oct 14,1807 or 1808 in bedford co, VA. died MAR 3,1891 and buried Mar 5, 1891 somewhere near Albany, KY. They had a son William Andrew RUSSELL born in Wayne co, KY Apr 2, 1831. William may be the eigth son of a James RUSSELL and the Grandson of a Col William RUSSELL. Thanks.
