"Milford was born May 20, 1852 and died Feb. 11, 1936. His first
wife
was Mary Ellen Wright, daughter of James Emerson Wright. Margaret died
in Mill Springs in 1904 and Milford married a Sarah Margaret Cooper
Crow. According to Stella (his daughter Stella Beatrice Burton
Reid),
Sarah was half Indian and looked very muchlike an Indian lady. Stella
told me that her dad always wore a vest and carried his watch on the gold
chain. This makes me think that the man in the photo with the vest
on at the mill (picture referred to is on the Wayne County 200th Birthday
Celebration site) could very well have been Milford." Contributed
