Trying
to locate any information of Arthur Bickers, born abt. 1880, died May 18,
1962. Wife Grace L. Michael, born abt. 1892, died October 23, 1974.
She was raised in Scott County and some of her family is still living
there. We know Grace was living in Scott County when she married Arthur.
Four of their children were born in Scott County. After 1925,
they moved to Kenton County where they divorced. Arthur returned to
Scott County and remarried. Arthur worked at a local funeral home as
a driver for the horse and casket carrier. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Looking
for any information on William Torr and Mary Troxell in Scott or Shelby County,
Kentucky in the 1790's to the 1810's. We need to determine if there
was a William and Mary Troxel Torr/Tarr in your area. If we can, he can be
traced to 1122 on the Torr side and 1453 on the Troxel side. Some
information indicated there was a William Torr, wife Mary Troxel/Troxal,
who moved from Virginia to either Shelby or Scott County, Kentucky in the
1790's. Mary apparently died around 1795. Children; (1) John
Torr, 1774-1822, married Hanna McKinney in 1803 (2) William Torr 1776-1858,
married Anna Campbell, September 26, 1797 (3) Charles Torr 1778, married
Deborah Pearce 1812 (4) Aala Torr 1780, married Phillip Pearce (5) Rebecca
Torr 1784-1858, married Thomas Stevens (6) James Torr 1784-1758, married
Sarah Boone, later Nancy Boone. What I am looking for are some suggestions
on locating any of these individuals in your county. All suggestions
are welcome. I am hoping to find ultimately evidence that one or more
did indeed live in the county.

Thomas
and Sally Miller came from KY to Hendricks County, Indiana sometime before
1849. They had a son Tilghman in this county at that time, but the
census say Thomas and Sally are from Kentucky. Another Miller researcher
her has traced his family to Scott County. Would like to hear from
any Miller researcher who might have a Thomas Miller in their
line.

like to know the name of Harvey Moore's father. Said to be Robert Moore,
but have no proof. Harvey Moore and wife, Frances named first child
Alexander. Could this have also been the name of Harvey's grandfather?
An Alexander Moore found in 1800 Scott County census. Harvey
was born, abt. 1826-29 in Kentucky and the family is listed on the 1850 and
1860 Scott County census for Stamping Ground. It is said that Harvey's
mother and his wife's mother had the same maiden name of Jenkins. Does
anyone know of a Jenkins family in the Stamping Ground
area.
