I am seeking information on the parents or descendanst of John E. Groves (once referred to Graves).  He was married to Priscilla Ship and lived in Grant County, Kentucky 1850, probably born in Pendleton County, Kentucky.  He had seven children:  Samuel, George, Henry, James, John, Elizabeth and Julian, who married William Anness.  Who were his parents and what was Priscilla's maiden name?  Samuel Groves, his son married Mildred Tuttle in the 1840's, who appears to be from Clark County, Kentucky.  Their children were; John, James, Daniel Tucker, Andrew, George, Henry, Martha, Thomas and Mary, who married Simpson Thomas.  Where and when did Samuel die?  His son Daniel Tucker Groves married Perlina ? and is listed with three children:  Robert Lee, Annie and William in the 1880 Grant County census.  Perlina and the two children are never heard from again.  What is Perlina's maiden name. Did they die?  William Groves, the remaining son was born in Scott County, Kentucky.  They are also found in Estill County; Clark County; Kenton County and Owen County, Kentucky.  Thank you.

I am looking for any James family information from Scott County, Kentucky.  In particular, I am interested in connecting my Joel James, with some of these James families.  There is a William James, who died in Edgar County, Illinois, with connections to Scott County, Kentucky.  He had a deceased daughter, who apparently married an Adams and a deceased son, named John, whose children still resided in Scott County, Kentucky at his death.  Also, looking for connections between the James family and a Samuel family in the 1790-1825 time period.
