1930's. Are they still in business and who ownes the company. My
grandfather, Augustur Brantley Blount worked for them during the early 1930's.
A. B. deserted his family in 1936. I have a copy of a letter
from a J. H. Brown representing Ruth Brothers, regarding the severity of
deseretion in the State of Kentucky. Anyone knowing anything about
this company, please let me know. Thanks.

Looking
for Hiram Christy, born about 1815, somewhere in Kentucky. Ended up
in Decatur County, Indiana by 1834, where her married Mary Ann Prichard,
born 1815, Scott County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of John Prichard
and Ann Smarr. I believe a son, Hiram and Mary was William Christy,
who married Sarah Smothers in Indiana and died in Decatur County, between
1870 and 1880. Another possible connection might be Churchill G. Christy,
born in Kentucky and died at the same time as Hiram.

Seeking
information on Johann B. Pleakenstalover (aka John B. Pleak), who came to
Bryan's Station, in Scott County, Kentucky and probably died there. He
is listed on rolls at Bonnesborough. John married at least once to
Hester or Esther Wade, and possibly also to Phoebe Ann Coons. Suspect
he may have come out from Virginia as widower of Esther Wade with som of
her brothers and sons, nephews or younger brothers, the re-married to Phoebe
Ann Coons, possibly having more children, including: Fielding and Dawson
Pleak. Fielding Pleak left for Decatur County, Indiana in the early
1820's, not sure what happened to other Pleak's (including three daughters),
except that a third brother was killed by the Indians. Other Kentucky
relatives associated with this line include Meeks/Meaks and Menifee, associated
with Montgomery, Menifee and possibly Clark counties,
Kentucky.

I am
trying to find out any information on James Nicholson, I know he lived on
Lytles Fork near Corinth Church with a son. He is listed on the 1850
census as a chair and cabinet maker. He had three sons; Andrew, who
married Mary Ann Powers and bought a farm in Scott County; Lewis H., and
James (my great grandfather), who fought in the Civil War. The elder James
is shown in the 1850 census as 65 years of age. He may possibly be
buried in the Corinth Church Cemetery, but I haven't been able to verify
this. Any information is appreciated, I have been to Scott County several
times.
