An agreement made and entered into this 2and day of November 1869 between Sarah A. Ireland, widow of the late Thomas Ireland, deceased of the first part and Mary Ann Wolf with her husband Wm. R. Wolf, Adelia Nelson with her husband John A. Nelson, Sarah M. Redd with her husband Stephen B. Redd and John M. Ireland, they being the legal heirs of said Decedent, Witnesseth.  This they humbly agree and bind themselves to the same, that the farm upon Rays Fork, Scott County, Kentucky the same upon which the said decedent reside shall be divided between us as follows:  Sarah A. Ireland, to have one third in value in her own right and the other two thirds to be equally divided between the four named children bodily heirs of said decedent.  And, we hereby appoint Nortey Estis and R. A. Robinson Commissioners to make the said division, they to select a surveyor who is competent and may assist them in the division as they may think proper and hereby give them all of the powers confirmed in like cases by the county Court to divide and prepare the conveyances.  Nothing in this agreement to destroy the validity of the agreement made between us on the 4th day of January last, but the personal property has been sold, and it is more agreeable now to divide the land than to sale and we firmly bind ourselves to sign the necessary deeds of partition.  The widow to have her portion including the dwelling if she wishes it so.  The Commissioners to meet on the land on Monday, November 8th, 1869. This writing witnesseth that we:  Nortley Estis and R. A. Robinson having been appointed by Sarah A. Ireland, widow of Thomas Ireland, dec'd, Mary Wolf with her husband, Wm. R. Wolf, Adelia Nelson with her husband John A. Nelson, Sarah M. Redd with her husband Stephen B. Redd and John M. Ireland they being the legal heirs of said decedent, Commissioners to divide the farm upon Rays Fork, Scott County, Kentucky the same upon which said decedent lately resided. Between the parties named above follows; Sarah A. Ireland to have one third in value in her own right and the other two thirds to be equally divided between the four children, met on the 8th day of November as requested in the agreement, but not being able to get a surveyor, adjourned from day to day until the 10th when after being duly sworn, we had the farm surveyed and partitioned it between the above named widow and children of said decedent according to this so as not to impact a firmer agreement, to the best of our knowledge and judgment.  The farm containing 116 acres 21 rods and 27 poles, Lot No.1 of twenty acres fell to Wm. R. Wolf and wife.  Lot No 2 of 31 acres 2 rods, 27 poles fell to Sarah A. Ireland.  Lot No3 of 18 acres 1 rod 13 poles fell to Jno. A. Nelson and wife. Lot No 4 of 18 acres 1 rod and 13 poles fell to Stephen Redd and wife and Lot No 5 of 18 acres 1 rod 13 poles fell to John M. Ireland, the heirs being present and satisfied acknowledge deeds to each name as stated above, in which deed the boundary of the lot is given, the words "by" and "name" interlined.  Witness our hands & seals this 12th day of November 1869.
