Revolutionary War Soldiers


REYNOLDS, Aaron
1753-1833

Third Virginia Continental Army.  Fought in the northern campaigns.  Captured at Charleston in 1780 and kept on a prison ship. Arrived in Kentucky in time to save
Captain Patterson's life at Blue Licks.  Aaron lived in Scott County thence to Hopkins County, thence to Giles County, Tennessee.  He is buried in Shane
Cemetery, Maury County, Tennessee.  His oldest son, Benjamin Reynolds was Indian agent to the Chickasaws.
