Revolutionary War Soldiers


ATKINS, Alexander

Private Capt. Pope of the Virginia Line in the army of the United States during the Revolutionary War.
Inscribed on the Roll of Kentucky at the rate of 8 dollars per month to commence on the 24th of April 1818.
Certificate of pension issued the 6 of Jan 1819 and sent to Hon. R. M. Johnson.

On 24 Oct 1818, Alexander Atkins appeared in Scott County Court, he stated he was honorably discharged in 1780 in Fradericksburg,
Virginia.  He stated he was 65 years of age and lived in Scott County, KY.  

Larkin Fargeson also appeared and made oath that he & Atkins were both soldiers in the Revolutionary War in Capt Pope's Company
and same Regt and that the were now neighbors.

Capt. Johnson of Great Crossings mad affidavit concerning pension.
