Explanations of Abbreviations Used HH# = HouseHold Nr. Assigned to the household and family in the
household.
In case of a family member who is absent then "ab" will be found in
column 5 after the name and well to the right. We put ours in this way "(ab)"
so it wouldn't be confused with an initial.
Name = Last name of the person in the household
First = First name of the person in the household
Rel.Ship = Relationship to the Head of the household (normally).
Sex = Gender of the person in question. e.g., M = Male, F = Female.
Race = W = White, B = Black, C = Colored, Mu = Mulatto, Neg = Negro,
M/W =Mulatto/White or Mixed/White.
Age = Usually in years and months
M/S = Marital status (used by the transcriber to save space,
not a usual census abbreviation).
M = Married, S = Single, W = Widow, D = Divorced.
A.A.F.M = Age at first marriage
POB1 = Place Of Birth for the Person in question.
POB2 = Place Of Birth for the person in questions Father.
POB3 = Place Of Birth for the person in questions Mother.
Occupation = Usual pursuit of employment.
