TYPE of MARRIAGE DOCUMENTATION YOU CAN FIND in MORGAN COUNTY


MARRIAGE RECORD (1822 - 1850) - Shows only the date of marriage, bride and groom's names and who married them.

MINISTER's RETURN (1850 TO EARLY 1900s) - Shows date of marriage, bride and groom's names, place, witnesses and is signed by the person who married them (minister or judge)

MARRIAGE BOND (EARLY 1900s ON) - Which includes the register of marriage (shows the bride and groom's names, ages, birth place, parent's names and groom's occupation) and the record of marriage certificate (shows who married them, the date of marriage, place, and witnesses.)
