PROMMISSORY NOTE

ISSUED NOVEMBER 7, 1865

James Robbins purchased property from Preston H. Dyer for $100.00. "containing a tract or boundary of land lying and being in the County of Morgan & State of Kentucky, lying in the waters of the middle forks of -------- and bounded as follows, to wit beginning at a dividing line below Hiram Smith & James Robbins thence running to the top of the ridge each way from the branch thence with the meander of the ridge so as to include all the land in the branch & all the land in the branch in which said Robins owns then the above obligation to be void or otherwise to remain in full force & effect in law, signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us the day & date above the Title to be made when called for........."
