This is a picture of Mahlon Steele who fought for the North in the Civil War. He was in the 14th Infantry
Regiment which was made up of men from Eastern Kentucky. He lived his years in Morgan County. He had one son, Wiley and three
granddaughters, Nan, Laura and Mildred whom all lived in Morgan County.
