August 17 1918

Well Millard. I have rote u about five letters. And havent got but tow. What is the matter. This leaves me well & haven aneltra good time. Hope this will find u the same. Well we havent mooved yet. And I dont gess will. For about tow weeks. Well John, Ed, and I donie got three months and fined forty dollars a piece. Say I am agoing up to Circleville to night. I am exspecting a fine time. Well Chig, I am agoing to make a lot mint to u of fifteen dollars a month and u can pay my dept to J.H. Bradley, and use the rest if u need it, and if you dont need it lone it to some that does. I am spending a lot of money for nothing, shitch Ill need some day worse than I do now. Our Captin said this morning that when we got mooved I had to be a corpal and if I haft to take it Ill git three dollars more a month, whitch will make $36.00 dollors a month. Say has Willie ever went to the Army yet. Well they is nothing knew down hear. So tell Maw and Pap to not weary about old Trucks. I am havin my fun and gitting plenty to eat. Well I sent Ora the pants to that coat, tell him to wear them if he wants to.
