Jackson Family Bible

The Jackson Family Bible record was transcribed in 1986 by Phyllis Bessette of Smith's Grove, Kentucky, from the original bible which was in the possession of her aunt, Jessie Jewell Cherry Denton. Mrs. Denton resided in Smith's Grove, Kentucky and has since passed away and, no one knows what happened to the bible. This bible transcription copy was presented to Judy Lee Watts of Nashville, Tennessee on 9 February 2001 by Mrs. Bessette.

Mrs. Bessette is the great granddaughter of Jesse James Jackson. Ms. Watts is the great great granddaughter of Serena Jane Jackson. Jesse James Jackson and Serena Jane Jackson were siblings and, children of William Jackson and Nancy Jane Ford.

This record, (below), was transcribed from the original transcription of Mrs. Bessette by Ms. Watts on February 18, 2001.

NOTE: Transcriptionist maintained the integrity of this record and thus included spelling errors etc. A question mark beside an entry indicates it was illegible on the original bible record. In some cases, a "best guess" was attempted.
