| Jonathan Grable was a son of Peter and Elizabeth (Grable) Benham. His first wife was Josephine Elizabeth Coleman, believed to be buried in Coleman cemetery. Elizabeth was his second wife. The Benham cemetery is a few hundred feet from where the old Benham home place stood. Jonathan first purchased land in Meade County in 1859. He purchased the land from his brother William N. Benham that he inherited from his mother. By the late 1800's he had purchased over 500 acres of land in the Rockridge area. My great grandfather was Augustus Board (Gus) Benham.
