Wellington Walters, Jr., age 83, of South Dogwood Drive, Berea, died Thursday at The Terrace Nursing and Rehab Center following an illness. He was a Williamsport, KY native born March 2, 1921, son of the late Wellington and Mary Margaret Penix Walters, a retired mechanical engineer, and U.S. Army WWII veteran. Survivors include 3 children, Rita L. Daniels of Berea, Billie J. Burton of Michigan, Danny R. Walters of Minnesota, 5 brothers and sisters, Lucille Ward of MI, Hazel Penix of OH, Shady Walters of WV, Frank Walters of OH, Raymond Walters of KY, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Phelps Walters, and 4 brothers and sisters.

Funeral Service 2:00 pm, Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004 at Reppert Funeral Home in Berea. Visitation after 12 noon Sunday.
