Starnes, Cecil
Cecil Starnes,80, 1238 Nice Drive, husband of Barbara Elam Starnes died Friday
December 20, 2002 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was a retired
carpenter with the Local Carpenters Union #1650, born in Madison County,
Kentucky son of the late Gilbert and Mary Hurt Starnes and he served with the
U.S.Army during World War II. Surviving besides his wife of fifty-six years are
two sisters, Hazel Anderson, Garrard County, Kentucky, Barbara Jean Rhodus,
[Wayne], Medway, Ohio, several nieces and nephews and four sisters-in-law and
three brothers-in-law. Funeral services will be 11:30 A.M. Thursday at the
W.R.Milward Mortuary-Southland conducted by Rev. Don King with burial in Camp
Nelson National Cemetery, Jessamine County. Casketbearers will be his nieces and
nephews. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Blue Grass 2312 Alexandria
Drive, Lexington, Kentucky 40504 or to the Salvation Army 722 West Main Street,
Lexington, Kentucky 40511.
