Nannie Evelyn “Toots” Rucker age 74 of Brushy Ford Rd. in Berea, passed away Sunday at her home.

Evelyn was born in Garrard County to the late William Bradley and Susie Allen Combs. She was a former employee of the Berea College Creamery and a member of the White Lick Baptist Church.

Evelyn was survived by her daughter Kaye Waldron of London; one sister Ella Mae Combs Green; two brothers Bill Combs and Gerald Combs all of Berea; two daughters-in-law Jennifer Rucker Richmond and Donna Rucker; 6 grandchildren Carisa Rucker Sargent, Dale Rucker Jr., Ashley Rucker, Brad Rucker, Derick Richmond and John Richmond; one great grandchild Seth Lennon Rucker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, Albin, Carl, Oscar Combs and Thelma Combs Taylor and Betty Combs Stewart.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 204 at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea with Rev. Ed Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallaceton Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening after 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Combs, Dale Rucker Jr., Brad Rucker, Brian Sargent, Phillip Nicholas and Rodney Nicholas.
